The A45 AMG is a little weapon around town featuring all wheel drive, a 7 speed dual clutch transmission and 2.0L turbo engine pumping out 265kw and 450nm. These hot hatches second hand are becoming more and more affordable in the Australian market and we're seeing an increasing number of them on the road. We believe it is a good starting platform for those who want to get into some light track duties while being able to drive to work in style. A mid 2013 model with about 60,000klms we're seeing go for around the $50,000 mark. We've listed a few upgrades below to get you started if you are considering one. Note: Make sure you select one with the AMG Aero Dynamics Package ($1990 option from factory), it makes a big difference to the look of the car and adds 40kg of downforce at 250km/h. It includes a front splitter, canards and rear wing.
